26 Oct (Sat): Birdwatching along the Railway Corridor - Maju Camp Forest

for Nature Society (Singapore) members only

This walk will explore Maju Camp Forest, which is a dense forest hugging the Jurong Line after Clementi Road. As this is a little explored area for birds and other wildlife, it should be an interesting and exciting excursion. Please note that this will be a rough walk - not along the old Jurong railway, but along a track that is very little used and over hilly ground. Interesting sightings in this area include the Rufous Woodpecker, Straw-headed Bulbul, Oriental Magpie Robin, Greater Coucal, Grey-rumped Treeswift.

Time: 7.45am-11.30pm
Venue: Meet at Clementi Neighbourhood Park near HDB Blk 116 at Sunset Way off Clementi Road.
