The National Library is hosting an exhibition of photographs by OnAsia, the leading Asia-specialised photo agency. Images taken by photographers working in different parts of Asia constitute an eye-opening visual account of the environmental destruction being wrought throughout the region, often in the name of progress.
OnAsia currently represents over 180 professional photographers living and working throughout the region who cover a wide variety of subjects including political and social trends. OnAsia’s online archive of over 180,000 images is a National Library Board eResource and all of its images, including those being exhibited at this exhibition, are available for educational use free of charge.
Students and educators can access and download any number of images (for use in presentations, lectures, homework, reports and so on) by visiting www.onasia.com/nlb (login with free NLB account required).
Prints used in the exhibition are available for loan, free-of-charge. To find out more, please contact Ms Sharon Chen, at Sharon_CHEN@nlb.gov.sg or call 6333 7912
