Kicking off our 2011 rambling programme is a discovery trek along the old Jurong line of the Malayan railway. Benjamin Ho will lead us on a journey following this disused railway track, taking us through many small scale vegetable plots, a former rail tunnel, grasslands, old cast iron bridges, amongst other interesting sights. Expect also to see a good variety of flora and fauna.
Bring along your binoculars, a cap and lots of sunblock. The trip is expected to last 3 hours and is unsuitable for children below 12 years old. The ramble will conclude at Sunset Way along Clementi Road.
