In conjunction with the “Trees for Life” Art Exhibition held in Jurong West Public Library from 21 July to 12 August 2012, join us for a talk about the Heritage Trees of Singapore. These are trees of special historical, botanical, social, cultural and/or aesthetic value in society. Through this talk, learn interesting facts about some of these majestic trees which represent the rich natural heritage of Singapore and our roots as a tropical rainforest.
More about the speaker
Brendon enjoys learning about tree species and discovering mature trees in Singapore with the potential to be Heritage Trees. A part of his job scope includes working with the Heritage Tree Secretariat and maintaining the Heritage Trees web pages on the NParks website. He is a Senior Officer with the Horticulture and Community Gardening Division, National Parks Board and a Certified Arborist (Intenational Society of Arboriculture).
