28 Sep (Sat): Birdwatching at Lorong Halus
This walk starts at the Punggol Promenade. For years, Little Grebes have made their home at Lorong Halus, at old rubbish dump site. Grassland species like the Yellow-bellied Prinia, Munias, Baya Weaver, Long-tailed Shrike and more thrive here. In 2011, PUB completed works to create Lorong Halus Wetland to help purify water that flows through the former dump site. Join us for any enjoyable morning of sights and sounds presented by these birds.
Open to the public but registration required on the NSS website by 18 September 2013. Maximum 30 persons.
Time: 7.30am
