Join the Little Green Men to get to know our green spaces better! As Singapore urbanises at an alarming rate, fewer green spaces are left for us to immerse ourselves in nature and learn more about our rich flora and fauna.
MacRitchie Forest is one of the few remaining habitats for a multitude of insects, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and birds; and contains one of the last patches of untouched primary tropical rainforest on the island. In light of recent studies to determine the feasibility of the upcoming Cross-Island MRT line undercutting up to 70 metres under the forest (near MacRitchie Reservoir), the fate of the forest—and its inhabitants—is unknown. Come down and have a look at what's at stake and to see for yourself the richness and variety that our green spaces have to offer and take a look at what we might lose in the name of "development".
