To celebrate the Clean and Green Singapore (CGS) 2018 campaign, we are offering this unique guided tour.Approximately 2 km long, this refreshed guided outdoor learning journey will start just outside Changi Village and end at Andover Road near Changi Beach Club. You can learn about 10 Heritage Trees and other interesting species along the way, many of which are native to Singapore and have interesting historical stories. For example, not many may know that the name Tampines was derived from the Tempinis Tree (Streblus elongatus).
You will also be among the first to view our newly nominated Mock Lime (Murraya paniculata) Heritage Tree, endorsed in September 2018. The Mock Lime is a popular fragrant plant in Singapore, often grown as hedges up to 3.5 m tall. This Mock Lime Heritage Tree has a height of 9 m and is believed to be more than 60 years old! Join us to learn more about our natural heritage and the value of trees in our environment.
