Conducted by Mr Tham Pui San, a volunteer of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Pui San is an avid artist who expresses his passion for nature through his art work. Bring along your art materials and enjoy learning different drawing techniques at Sungei Buloh.

31 Mar (Sun): 'Tale of our Forests' - BES Drongos evening walk at Petai Trail

Ever wanted to know more about the biodiversity and purpose of forests in Singapore? Perhaps you need an extra pair of eyes to spot those uncommon animals and plants? Or maybe just you want a morning away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Whatever your purpose, the BES Drongos is proud to take you on a free guided walk into our biggest nature reserve, as we share with you about the history and relevance of Macritchie, a story our forests would tell if they could speak.

The FREE Civic District Tree Trail takes you through Singapore’s historic Civic District where you will be marveled by many majestic and interesting trees, some of which have stood tall for many generations and witnessed the transformation and progress of Singapore through the years. Join us as we take you through part of the trail starting from the entrance of Raffles Landing to CHIJMES.

Join us for a FREE guided walk of this unique mangrove wetlands located at the border of freshwater (river) and salt water (sea). Singapore used to have large areas of mangroves, but lost most of them to coastal development. Few mangroves are left in Singapore, one of which is at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

30 Mar (Sat): Ramble “Limitation” - Dairy Farm Nature Park Route 2

for Nature Society (Singapore) members only

Dairy Farm Nature Park is a rustic environment with multiple trails for hiking, walking, jogging and biking, the 63-hectare DFNP offers a host of recreational activities and amenities such as a nature trail and former quarry. Nearby is the Wallace Trail which is named after Alfred Wallace to honour his contributions to natural science. A contemporary of Charles Darwin, Wallace is the other "father" behind the theory of evolution.

Not suitable for children below 14 years old.

Our wild places and parks can get crowded during school holiday weekends. The best way to avoid the crowds is to arrive early in the morning and leave early. Our wildlife is generally more active in the morning too!
