It is increasingly clear that climate change is one of the major challenges of our time. Increasing scientific evidence suggests a link between global warming and natural disasters. This call for greater efforts around the world to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.

This seminar by Professor Chris Cocklin, James Cook University aims to create an awareness among business and industry leaders on the issues and opportunities in addressing climate change:
-Causes and regional effects of Global Climate Change
-Overview of the fourth Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report
-Education for the future and the links with industry requirements
