The Lunar New Year holidays are ahead but volunteeers are still working hard to bring you guided walks at our wild places.
The special walk for the weekend is the The Battle of Pasir Panjang Commemorative Walk at Kent Ridge.
There's also a forest walk at the Lower Peirce Boardwalk and at the MacRitchie Prunus Trail as well.
Or go for the Mangrove Boardwalk tours at Sungei Buloh on Saturday and Sunday.
Although the Chek Jawa intertidal tour is already fully booked, you can go on your own to explore the area on the boardwalk. More about the Chek Jawa boardwalk and what you can see and do there.
There's also a seminar on "Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives on Climate Change: Economics and Business" at NUS this weekday.
The holidays are a great time to visit our wild places. But these tend to get very crowded during the Lunar New Year. To avoid the crowds come early and leave early. There's more wildlife up and about anyway, early in the morning.
