20 Sep (Tue): Mangrove Salvaging at Sungei Buloh

Take part in conservation efforts in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Participants of this activity would be involved in the relocation of mangrove saplings from Sungei Buloh’s mudflats. Saplings would need to be gently removed using spades provided and placed into planting bags. These young plants would then be put in Sungei Buloh’s nursery before they are replanted to appropriate areas. The three-hour activity includes a safety briefing, demonstration and also washing-up. Expect to get muddy, and please dress appropriately. Light casual attire, old laced shoes, hat and water bottle

This activity is organised in conjunction with Parks Festival 2011.
