In conjunction with Parks Festival 2011, join this free walk to learn and discover the fascinating world of mangroves. In this one hour guided walk, participants will embark on a journey to learn more about the natural habitat and its interesting biodiversity. There is much to see at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, but much of the beauty and ecological diversity can only be observed by one with an eye for the small details and patterns of nature. This is where the experienced guides would be able to highlight the interesting features of the natural world. Please wear light casual attire, comfortable walking shoes, hat and preferably bring drinking water.
Pre-register at least two weeks in advanced with Ms. Shila at g_shila_kumari@nparks.gov.sg or Mr. Azlin at Mohamad_azlin_sani@nparks.gov.sg. Guided walks are subjected to availability of staff/volunteers and a minimum of 10, and maximum of 15 people.
Time: 9.30-10.30 am (subject to availability of guides).
Entry charges: While the walk is free, admission fees to the Reserve apply on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and school holidays: $1 per adult, 50cents per child/student/senior citizen.
