24 Sep (Sat): Birdwatching at Lorong Halus

This walk is open to the public.

Jimmy Lee leads this walk which will start at the Punggol Promenade. For years, Little Grebes and Common Moorhens have made their home at Lorong Halus, an old rubbish dump site. Grassland birds like Yellow-bellied Prinias, Munias, Baya Weavers, Long-tailed Shrikes and more thrive here. PUB recently completed 'Lorong Halus Wetland' to help purify water that flow through the dump site. Come join Jimmy in an enjoyable morning of sights and sounds presented by these birds.

Registration by 20 Sep via the NSS website. The walk is limited to a maximum of 30 persons.

Time: 7.30-11am. Meet beside the Popeye Restaurant at Tebing Lane off Punggol East. You can take the MRT to Punggol station and transfer to the LRT. Alight at Riviera LRT station and walk towards the meeting point.
