18 Nov (Fri): Bats are Beautiful! with Cicada Tree Eco Place


Let’s celebrate International Year of the Bat at Dairy Farm Nature Park this November! Bats are nocturnal creatures and the only mammals capable of true flight. Some species have excellent night vision defying the common belief that bats are blind. In Singapore, we have about 20 different types of bats. What do they eat? Where do they live? What do they look like? Come see them as they fly about in our forest.

Time: 6-8pm
Cost: $15 per kid (with maximum of 2 adults accompanying each kid at no charge)

Venue: Dairy Farm Nature Park, 100 Dairy Farm Road. Meet at Carpark B along Dairy Farm Road. Map
Getting there: Take bus service SMRT 700, 700A or 966 and alight at bus stop along Petir Road between Chestnut Ave and Dairy Farm Road
What to bring: Torchlight, herbal insect repellent, water bottle. Wear long pants and long sleeved shirt or tee shirt, and comfortable covered shoes and socks.
