Invaluable for its cultural heritage, Bukit Brown is also a good place to look for butterflies, given its proximity to MacRitchie forest and the Botanic Gardens. Close to 60 species have been recorded here. These include the rare Golden Royal butterfly and the Banded Lineblue, newly discovered in 2012. NSS Kids attending the walk with their parents will have a dedicated kids guide.
