Come and celebrate the return of the migratory shorebirds! After enduring a long and harsh journey of almost ten thousand kilometres over mountains and seas, the migratory shorebirds have arrived in Singapore from far-flung locations like the Siberian and Tibetan plateaus.
‘Waders Watch’ is one of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve’s signature workshops, where you can learn how to identify our feathered friends! This workshop will cover an introduction to these birds, followed by a birdwatching session around the Reserve where you can hone your newly acquired skills.
The first session of this signature workshop will be held on 12 of October 2019 in conjunction with Welcome Waders!, an event where the reserve celebrates the return of the migratory shorebirds. Following which, this workshop will be available monthly during the migratory season.
Children aged 10 and above are welcome to join in the fun with their family. Binoculars will be provided for participants, but do bring along your own if you have them.
Registration opens on 4 October 2019 (Friday) at 8am.
