It offers fun-filled and educational activities that promote environmentally-friendly practices such as using energy-efficient appliances, taking public transport, recycling and more. By adopting these habits, each of us can play an important part in making our environment a better place to live, work and play.The highlight of the CGS 2010 Carnival is the exhibition on Singapore's 40-year Clean and Green journey, where the multi-faceted effort in creating a clean and green environment that we enjoy today will be showcased. Through bringing visitors on this journey, it is hoped that every individual will be inspired to play his role in sustaining our quality living environment for future generations.
Organised by the National Environment Agency and South West Community Development Council, with support from the National Parks Board and PUB, the national water agency, the CGS 2010 Carnival aims to inspire the public to protect and take greater ownership of our living environment.
