16 Sep (Sun): Birdwatching at Tampines Wood

For Nature Society (Singapore) members only

Tampines Wood is located behind Tampines Industrial estate. There was once a Grebe Pond here but it has since given way to development. Visit this wooded area before it is completely gone. We will be looking for Sooty-headed Bulbuls, Red-whiskered Bulbuls, Bee-eaters, Black-shouldered Kites, Pied Trillers, Pied Fantails and more. If we are lucky, we can watch mix flocks of Munias - Black-headed, White-headed and Scaly-breasted - feeding together!

NSS Kids attending the walk with their parents will have a dedicated kids guide. For members only.

Time: 7.30-11am
Venue: Meet Willie at the junction of Tampines Road and Jalan Sam Kongsi.
