The highlight of the week:
Acre's Gala Dinner "Voices of the Wild" on Friday. Come for this special celebration of ACRES' 7th anniversary. This black-tie event promises an evening of fabulous food, wine and enthralling entertainment in support of wildlife.

Special highlight of the year: 18-23 May: Free traditional wayang at Pulau Ubin! Don't miss this among the last opportunities to view traditional wayang in a kampung setting, staged for the Gods and not for tourists or money.

For wild kids! As the school holidays start, lots of wild events are lined up for the young ones.
On and about our wild shores this week!
In the gardens, choose from the Evolution Garden tour at the Botanic Gardens, Heritage and Nature Walk at Fort Canning Park, guided walk at HortPark and Seedy Tile a crafts workshop at HortPark.

In the mangroves at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, it's free admission on 24 May (Sat) in support of the national campaign 'National family Celebrations 2008 - Family Day Out'. Don't miss PrawnWatch, join Painting with Pui San to learn art and nature appreciation, or go for the guided walks at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve on Saturday and Sunday.

For Nature Society (Singapore) members only: Spices and Herbs walk at Fort Canning Park, birdwatching at Tagore Lane and Horseshoe crab rescue and research at Kranji.
