Of the estimated 400,000 plant species in the world, more than 2200 are native to our little island of Singapore. But what is a native plant? And what is so important about native plants? How do I "go green" with native plants?
This talk by Ms Joyce Foo would shed light on these questions, as well as introduce some of our fascinating and delightful native plant species. You may be surprised to find out that you already know some of them!
Joyce was working on a project to conserve endangered native plants of Singapore, which has given her the opportunity to admire all kinds of amazing greenery, from shrubs to trees. She dreams of having her own garden, where leisure time can be spent with a book, a cat and yet more plants.
