7 Aug (Sat): Talk on "Chek Jawa - Our Natural Heritage"

Chek Jawa Wetlands is located at the eastern part of Pulau Ubin. Originally slated for reclamation since 1992, Chek Jawa Wetlands consist of 6 eco-systems in an area covering approximately 100 hectares. Rich in boidiversity and full of life, she is currently regarded as one of Singapore Nature Heritage and many would like to see it becoming our next wetland reserve.

Be intrigued by the amazing wonders of this wonderful place once known as a dirty mudflat.

Come and join Alan Tan, Senior Conservation Officer, Nparks/Pulau Ubin Branch, for a talk on the colourful flora and interesting fauna of Chek Jawa Wetlands. Alan Tan Yong Hong has been our Chek Jawa volunteer for a few years before he decided to join us as our Senior Conservation Officer. He also loves nature photography.

Time: 10- 11.30am
Venue: Volunteer Hub, Pulau Ubin. More on how to get to Pulau Ubin.
