17-23 Mar: Highlights of the week ahead

It's the long weekend ahead! And there's lots to get wild about.

For the kids, join the Kid's Fun with Wetland Birds at the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. There are also two recycling workshops at Seletar, one for kids and one for adults.

For the more energetic, go for PowerWalk at Bishan Park.

In the gardens, learn more about ancient plant ancestors on the Evolution Garden tour at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

In the mangroves, go for the guided walks at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve on Saturday and Sunday.

For Nature Society (Singapore) members only, there is a Plant Walk at Pearl's Hill Park and the Annual Bird Census is also on.

Talks this week include one on Wayside Trees and Palms and Evaluating Forest Conservation in the Tropics.

The Hantu Anniversary Dive is full, but bookings are open for the next dive on 27 Apr (Sun)

Have a wild week ahead!

I thought I'd share a wild photo a week. This week linyangchen shared this lovely photo entitled Fragility of life.

Fragility of life, originally uploaded by linyangchen.

He says "This mushroom was ephemerally enlightened in the rays of the sun that sporadically penetrated to the dark and humid forest floor."
