Join Shawn Lum and the Plant Group at Fort Canning, a historical site, an iconic city landmark, and a beautiful green oasis in the heart of downtown Singapore. It features a number of wonderful trees, both native and exotic. This walk will allow us to revisit many of our favourite wayside trees, and also allow the Plant Group to introduce a system of monitoring plant phenology (timing of flowering, fruiting, and leafing out) that NSS members may be able to participate in, as a society-wide project.
Time: 9.30am. Meet at the back of the Fort Canning Centre, not too far from the entrance to the Battle Box.
