Quick and easily prepared vegetarian and/or vegan food using mostly locally grown herbs and produce grown in our backyard is back by popular requests. Evelyn and Angie will introduce one main and one side dish from the various cultures and their own creation once every two months. Focus will be on steamed or boiled food. Non-vegetarians may also find the dishes suitable as it can be modified to adjust to preference.
The first course will introduce Evelyn's `Nasi Ulam', proven to be deliciously well received and Angie's special creation - `Tofu Salad'. The next lesson on Sat 7 June will introduce Evelyn's `Tofu Pouch' and Rosalind's `Mani Chai' or `Chekor Manis', cooked Peranakanstyle but modified for the vegetarian palate.
Time: 2.30-4.30pm

Cost: $6 per person including herbal tea. Proceeds will go to NSS.
