Rescheduled from 6 Apr (Sun)
for Nature Society (Singapore) members only.
This is a `muddy hands-on, legs in mud', `out of comfort zone' 2-hr conservation and research activity. Search for the often-overlooked Mangrove Horseshoe Crabs on the Mandai mudflats and rescue them from deployed or abandoned fishing nets. Learn to handle, identify, measure, mark, record and release these creatures that are an integral part of our diminishing mangrove habitat.
Recommend to have cap/hat, shoes/boots/diving shoes, sun-block, insect repellant, cutter and camera. Washing facilities available.
Time: 2.30pm. Meet at the extension of Kranji Road at the junction with Kranji Loop
